Design Committee:
Do research on dresses and stuff/features you want for Fashtory. [lifted from the FB group]
Research Committee:
I know, I know, homework over the break. It's considerably light, okay, so we don't have to cram next year.
Please do some research on the notable features of the people assigned to you (that is, features we might be able to incorporate in fashion or features you think are significant in their identities that should be incorporated). If you can contact the others, you can switch topics with them if you'd like.
Clare - Jews
Bing - Nazi Party (we can't incorporate swastikas, though, for obvious reasons)
Lawrence - Romani people
Aline - the Slavs
No need to send anything in, but it'd be nice if you have actual output by the time holidays are over.

We will be having the actual parteh on Thursday, after classes, when everybody's brains are nice and melted, so that'll be nice. However, the gifts that you may or may have not cram-bought yet (hem, dormers), can be given on both Thursday or Friday, but hopefully not after that, because that would suck.
Edit: Yeah, there aren't any plans yet, which is why I need some HELP. Everyone who gets to read this, please bring a hundred bucks tomorrow so that we could buy food. I need someone to fix up what food to buy, too, and I'm asking Adrian, JP, Vince and Azie to make up some games. :D Love you, Cesium! -GAN.

Hey guys! Long time no post :)) So, homeworks for tomorrow!
. . . I'm very sorry for a late post:
FIL:
- Submission of the draft for the Free Verse is tomorrow.
STR:
- Answer this question in a 1/2 cross-wise:
A random sample of five(5) car company managers have salaries (Php) of:
Manager 1: 52000
Manager 2: 41000
Manager 3: 63000
Manager 4: 35000
Manager 5: 48000
After dividing all salaries by 1000 and subtracting 55.
a) What is the variance?
b) What is the standard deviation?
CHEM:
- Answer 5.30, 5.32, 5.34, and 5.36:
5.30:
The decomposition of zinc carbonate, ZnCO3(s), into zinc oxide, ZnO(s), and CO2(g) at constant pressure requires the addition of 71.5 kJ of heat per mole of ZnCO3. a) Write a balanced thermochemical equation for the reaction. b) Draw an enthalpy diagram for the reaction.
5.32:
Without referring to the tables, indicate which of the following has the higher enthalpy in each case: a) 1 mol CO2(s) or 1 mol CO2(g) at the same temperature; b) 2 mol of hydrogen atoms or 1 mol of H2; c) 1 mol H2(g) and 0.5 mol O2(g) at 25°C; d) 1 mol N2(g) at 100°C or N2 at 300°C.
5.34:
Consider the following reaction:
CH3OH(g) --> CO(g) + 2H(g) ΔH= 90.7kJ
a) Is heat absorbed or evolved in the course of this reactions? b) Calculate the amount of heat transferred when 1.60 kg of CH3OH(g) are decomposed by this reaction at constant pressure. c)For a given sample of CH3OH, the enthalpy change on reaction is 64.7kJ. How many grams of hydrogen gas are produced? d) What is the value of ΔH for the reverse of the previous reaction? How many kJ of heat are released when 32.0g of CO(g) reacts completely with H2(g) to form CH3OH(g) at constant pressure?
5.36:
At one time, a common means of forming small quantities of oxygen gas in the laboratory was to heat KClO3:
2KClO3 --> 2KCl(s) + 3O2(g) ΔH= -89.4kJ
For this reaction, calculate ΔH for the formation of a) 4.34 mol of O2 b) 200.8 g of KCl. c) The decomposition of KClO3 from KCl and O2, is likely to be feasible under ordinary conditions? Explain your answer.

p. 145-146:
25) (II) In 1955, a paratrooper fell 370 m after jumping from an aircraft without his parachute opening. He landed in a snowbank, creating a crater 1.1 m deep, but survived with only minor injuries. Assuming the paratrooper's mass was 80 kg and his terminal velocity was 50 m/s, estimate: (a) the work done by the snow in bringing him to rest; (b) the average force exerted on him by the snow to stop him; and (c) the work done on him by sir resistance as he fell.
28) (I) A spring has a spring constant, k, of 380 N/m. How much must this spring be compressed to store 60 J?
39) (II) A 60-kg crate, starting from rest, is pulled across a floor with a constant horizontal force of 100 N. For the first 10 m the floor is frictionless, and for the next 10 m the coefficient of friction is 0.20. What is the final speed of the crate.
41) (II) The roller coaster in Fig. 6-19 passes point A with a speed of 1.20 m/s. If the average force of friction is equal to one-fifth of its weight, with what speed will it reach point B? The distance traveled is 67.0 m.
47) (I) How long will it take a 1500-W motor to lift a 400-kg piano to a sixth-story window 15.0 m above?

Chem Hw:
10.20
A sample of gas occupies a volume of 1248 ft3 at 0.988 atm and 28.0ºC. (a) Calculate the pressure of the gas if the volume is decreased to 978 ft3 while its temperature is held constant. (b) At what temperature in degrees Celsius is the volume of the gas at 1435 ft3 if the pressure is kept constant?
10.21
(a) How is the law of combining volumes explained by Avogadro's hypothesis? (b) Consider a 1.0-L flask containing neon gas and a 1.5-L flask containing xenon gas. Both gases are at the same pressure and temperature. According to Avogadro's law, what can be said about the ratio of the number of atoms in the two flasks?
10.22
Nitrogen and hydrogen gases react to form ammonia gas as follows:
N2(g) + 3H2(g) -> 2NH3 (g)
At a certain temperature and pressure, 1.2 L of N2 reacts with 3.6 L of H2. If all the N2 and H2 are consumed, what volume of NH3 at the same temperature and pressure will be produced?
10.28
For an ideal gas, calculate the following quantities: (a) the pressure of the gas if 0.215 mol occupies 338 mL at 32ºC; (b) the temperature (in kelvins) at which 0.0412 mol occupies 3.00 L at 1.05 atm; (c) the number of moles in 98.5 L at 236 K and 690 torr; (d) the volume occupied by 5.48 x 10-3 mol at 55ºC and a pressure of 3.87 kPa.
Meeting for Music video will be at the QC circle at 1:00 PM
Update for fixes

The typical atmospheric pressure on top of Mt. Everest (29,028 ft) is about 265 torr. Convert this pressure to (a) atm; (b) mm; (c) pascals; (d) bars.
10.10
Perform the following conversions:
(a) 2.44 atm to torr;
(b) 682 torr to kPa;
(c) 776 mm Hg to atmospheres;
(d) 1.456 x 105 Pa to atmospheres;
(e) 3.44 atm to bars
10.19
A fixed quantity of gas at 23ºC exhibits a pressure of 748 torr and occupies a volume of 10.3 L. (a) Use Boyle's law to calculate the volume the gas will occupy at 23ºC if the pressure is increased to 1.88 atm. (b) Use Charle's law to calculate the volume the gas will occupy if the temperature is increased to 165ºC while the pressure is held constant.
Just remember that we have to submit the answers for Chapters 2-4 of Greece tomorrow. Together with it is a HW Quiz.

[Tara na bayan]
(Girls)
Kayang-kaya natin itong matugunan
kung may malalapitang pagmamahal
