1:05-2:05 PM Bio 2 Soc Sci 3 English 3

Coverages! (And other stuff about the tests)

MATH:

The test is in fill in the blanks, 30 items No partial points. No direct proving, the one where you have show your solutions and stuff. Coverage are Circles and Trigonometry. 10 points will be from circles, the remaining from trig functions. The breakdown of coverage is as follows:

I. Circles:
1) standard form/center-radius
2) general form
3) degenerate forms
4) concentric circles
5) tangent to a line
6) 3-point circle
7) distance of point to a line

II. Trigonometry:
1) properties of trig. functions
2) trig. values of special angles
3) trig. values beyond [0,2Π)
4) Pythagorean identities
5) ratio/reciprocal/cofunction
6) sum/difference identities
7) double/half-angle formulas
8) simplifying using identities
9) graphing properties
- amplitude/phase shift/ period/ domain/ range
10) basic trig. equations

TIP from the 4th years:
The Sir Nat people have an advantage daw. But then they say that the Sir Leo people are okay na daw. But we all need to practice tho :))). So guys, practice, practice, practice, practice.

BIOLOGY:

The Perio is like the previous ones and like that of last year's - fill in the blanks. The test is either 60 or 80 items. Multiple choice for sure and maybe a few matching types or fill in the blanks maybe?

Coverage:
 - Circulatory System
 - Cell Respiration
 - Photosynthesis
 - Respiratory System
 - Immune System

TIP from the 4th years:
Most of ma'am Dawn's discussions are in the perio. Most of sir Chuckie's discussions are in the perio too, and thy're the hard one :))) Read, read, read, read.

PHYSICS:

Like the usual Physics perios, this quarter's multiple choice. Most probably 50 items. Coverage is DYNAMICS! Basically everything written in your notebook :((((( The breakdown is as follows:

 I. Linear dynamics
   1. Force & Net force
   2. Newton's Laws of Motion
   3. Inertia and Mass
   4. FBDs
   5. Application of Newton's laws (Equilibrium and Apparent Weight)

II. Dynamics of Circulation
   1. Circular Motion (Horizontal & Vertical)
   2. Optimum Banking Angle

III. Application of Newton's Third Law
   1. Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation
   2. Gravitational Field
   3. Effective g
   4. Satellite Motion & Weightlessness
   5. Kepler's law of Planetary Motion

NOTE: There will be a crash course for Physics on Monday, 2:30 pm at the Physics Room. Everything will be discussed, but in a super fast manner. No, not sir talking in super fast speed that will make him sound like a Alvin, the chipmunk. The things discussed will be super short for each topic, cause we're gonna squeeze all the lessons for 2 months in an hour or so.
And for those who need to make bawi, this is now your chance. Do your best in the perio. We can do this!

SOC SCI:

I didn't recall what sir told us about how's the perio going to be. But let's just assume it's like the first one. But most definitely, there will be multiple choice. There's a great chance that there's going to be matching type and identification/fill in the blanks too. IDEK if there's essay. Sorry guys, I'm so useless here :((

Coverage:
I. Civilizations
   1. What is a civilization?
   2. Egyptian Civilization
   3. Greek Civilization (and culture chapter too)
   4. Mesoamerican Civilizations

II. Roman Empire.
      - Everything in sir Erin's ppt, which he will probably post in his blog or something. STAY TUNED TO THAT. WE WILL UPDATE YOU WITH IT. The perio also includes the 'Fall of Rome' HO from ma'am B ;;)

CHEM:

Of course, the perio's multiple choice. 50 items. Bring you're Sci Cals, okayy :))

Coverage:
1. Limiting and Excess Reactants
2. Theoretical, Actual and Percent Yield
3. Combustion Analysis
4. Oxidation Reduction Reaction (Acidic and basic medium)
5. Gas Laws
6. Kinetic Molecular Theory
7. Intermolecular Forces of Attraction (including all the phase diagram and stuff :-bd)\

ENGLISH:

First of all, you MUST READ THE BOOK. 'Mkayyyy? So the test consists of Vocab (nothing to worry about, 'casue the words are really mababaw). If I'm not mistaken, no multiple choice. But there will be matching type and identification/fill in the blanks. There will also be an essay part, though it's just one question :-bd

THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THIS QUARTER'S PERIO. STUDY HARD. STUDY WELL. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE OF US :D~~~ GOD BLESS TOO :)
