- We have graded reci for tomorrow. So read up on these:
Familiarize yourselves with the following terms:
indulgence, Reformation, Lutheran, Protestant, Peace of Augsburg, Annul, Anglican, Predestination, Calvinism, theocracy, Presbyterian, Anabaptist, Catholic Reformation, Jesuits, Council of Trent

Here are guide questions for the graded reci:
- How did European rulers encourage the spread of Renaissance ideas and what method did they use?
- How does Albrecht Durer's work reflect Renaissance ideas?
- What did Christian humanists set out to do and what method did they use?

Hey guise!

Just a few reminders, the English Story final draft is due either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on who's your editor ;;) Please coordinate. This is a class project.
Editors, I suggest you start distributing the tasks for the binded one already. Like start illustrating na din, since you guys already have an idea of how our stories will turn out. Chose the ones you want to have pictures/drawings and tell the illustrators/photographers :-bd Let's minimize the cramming please. And remember that you can also assign us to do things and you shouldn't take all the load.

    11.14: Which member of the following pairs has the stronger intermolecular dispersion forces: (a) Br2 or O2; (b) CH3CH2SH or CH3CH2CH2SH; (c) CH3CH2CH2Cl or (CH3)2CHCl?
    11.15: Butane and 2-methylpropane, whose space-filling models are shown, are both nonpolar and have the same molecular formula, yet butane has the higher boiling point (-0.5ºC compared to -11.7ºC). Explain. (I can't scan my book but it has something to do with the molecule. GoogleImages nalang?)
    11.20: Identify the types of intermolecular forces present in each of the following substances, and select the substance in each pair that has the higher boiling point: (a) C6H14 or C8H18; (b) C3H8 or CH3OCH3; (c) HOOH or HSSH; (d) NH2NH2 or CH3CH3.

  1. The Hellenistic culture is a fusion of Greek, Egyptian, Persian, and Indian influences. In this regard,do you think our culture is similar to that of the Hellenistic- a fusion of several influences? If so, give examples of those influences that fused and eventually made up our culture. (6~10 sentences)
  2. What defines a good leader? Describe at most 10 characteristics that make up one. Based on your characteristics, do you think that Julius Caesar was one? (6~10 sentences)
  3. On a piece of short bond paper, draw a map of ancient Italy and identify the regions where the 3 earliest settlers (Latins, Greeks, Etruscans) decided to settle.
Note: This can either be handwritten on pad paper (except the map) or typewritten on short bond paper. If typewritten, Font: Arial; Size: 12pt; Line Spacing: 1.5.
