July 1, 2011 Hello Cs 2013, Important things to bring for the STR activities next week: 1. A long brown envelope and a copy of this activity instruction per group. 2. A copy of the approved article or topic 3. A copy of the APA format for Bibliography. 4. Any form of highlighter. July 4, 2011 Everyone should be at the library by 7:50AM. Attendance will be checked by Mr. Spencer Albos. Reminders: please behave properly while inside the library (i.e. observe silence). *paging class monitor :D* Individually, search for 1 source - journal/magazine that is related to the approved topic. Make a note card (follow specifications as written in the STR website) for the source. You should be able to have a printed copy of the related information gathered and highlight the part that you think is important for the group research brief. The note card entry written in a ½ CW should be placed inside the brown envelope and be submitted to Mr. Albos as proof that you did the activity during the period. If you are not able to finish the notecard within the allotted period, finish it within your vacant periods and let Mr. Albos or Ma’am Marufie Limpin sign your submission and place it inside the brown envelope (I will ask for a basket tray where your envelopes will be placed) at the STR unit. Deadline: 4:30 PM! ASSIGNMENT: to simplify your life for the next day, you may search for an online source of information. Copy the link in your notebook. You may print it ahead but do the note cards in class (you will be monitored). July 5, 2011 The class will be handled by Dr. Jessamyn Yazon. Reminders: please behave properly (i.e. no bags on the table; no drinking or eating). *paging monitor for attendance* This will be the second day of class activity. Each group will be assigned one computer unit. Search for 1 online source and do the note cards like the previous day. For those online sources that were accessed during the period, make sure you print the article, highlight the information used, and submit in the afternoon. Let Ma’am Marufie Limpin sign your submission and place it inside the brown envelope, just like the day before, at the STR unit. Deadline: 4:30 PM! ASSIGNMENT: to make your life much easier, search for a related information in books or ebooks. Remember to secure a copy of the page that you will use for your research brief. Another option is for you to borrow the book that you need. The note cards will be done in class. That’s all! I will see you on Thursday. Pakabait kayo ha.
